The 40th birthday of Spruce Meadows in Calgary was a good one for Belgium's François Mathy Jr. Aboard the 12-years-old Polinska des Isles (by Diamant de Semilly) Mathy Jr. claimed victory in yesterday's 1.50m class. Georgina Bloomberg and Caleno 3 (by Calido Ass) followed in a second place. Andres Rodriquez and his Clinton-horse, Darlon van Groenhoeve finished third, after collecting a total of 4 points. Only 3 horse-rider combinations placed for the jump-off. The top five was completed by Venezuelan Maggy McLarry and HH Ciske van Overis. The pair finished their first round with one time penalty. The same verdict for Conor Swail and Viva Colombia, finishing fifth.
