Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts takes spectacular win in Londen

At the Global Champions Tour of Londen, a 1m50-1m55 class has just been ridden. In this class, riders could collect points for the Global Champions League. All competitors got to jump a very difficult course. Eleven of them managed to keep the wood untouched and came back for the all-deciding jump-off. In that jump-off, it was the young Belgian rider Nicola Philippaerts who speeded to victory. Philippaerts was one of the last riders to enter the showground with his Aikido Z but he managed to ride an even faster time then Denis Lynch, who was leading for a very long time. Philippaerts and the 11-year old Acardi son reached the finish line after 39,13 seconds, leaving the wood untouched. Denis Lynch and All Star 5 (f. Argentinus) took account of the second place. Lynch immediately went fast as lightening like he always does, but in the end his 39,61 seconds weren't enough to keep Philippaerts from winning the class. The top three was completed by the German rider Christian Kukuk. He rode Limonchello NT (f. Lord Castello) in 39,84 seconds to the finish line. The Swedish rider Henrik von Eckerman took account of the fourth place with Mary Lou 194 (f. Montendro). The French lady rider Pénélope Leprevost, who was the last rider to ride the jump-off, rode an easy round today with Vagabond de la Pomme (f. Vigo d'Arsouilles). This French combination ended on fifth place. Click here for the results
