At today's 1m50-competition in the French La Baule it was the Equiline-rider Ben Maher who took the victory aboard the 9-year-old Aristo Z (s. Andiamo). Roger-Yves Bost yet again placed within the top three, completing the succes of the weekend on a second place. Together with Qoud Coeur de la Loge (s. Ideal de la Loge) the French Show jumper was followed by Patrick Stühlmeyer and Lord Lohengrin (s. Lordanos).
A total of 11 pairs got through to the Jump Off. Dirk Demeersman and Stb Fleuri van de Koekelberg (s. Winningmood vd Arenberg) continued on a fourth place, while the Olympic Champion, Steve Guerdat and Carpalo ended in the fifth position. The sixth place was also for a Belgian rider, namely Ludo Philippaerts and Challenge vd Begijnakker (s. Chellano Z).
