For the first time this week there were not French riders on stage in Lyon. This morning the day started with the CSI5*w Speed Class set at a height of 1.50m. Young Irish show jumper, Bertram Allen, was one of the first to go in, but set the bar. Aboard Quiet Easy Allen took home the win with about 0.22 seconds difference. Rolf-Göran Bengtsson followed in a second place with Clarimo ASk. Even World's number one, Scott Brash, didn't succeed in a faster round as Bertram Allen. Together with Hello Forever he finished third. Best French rider was Philippe Rozier. Together with Quel Chanu he cheered up the few supporters in the early morning with a fifth place.
