Bertram Allen's Magic Shadow passed away at age 28

Sad news today for Irish showjumper Bertram Allen. His Magic Shadow passed away peacefully in their stable in Hünxe yesterday. He was 28 years of age.
"Magic had his own special character! A total sweetheart, a brilliant schoolmaster who loved to win. He played an important role in our family." Bertram, Grace, Lucy and Harry all rode him successfully, and in his retirement, April and all our team in Hünxe took great care of him. His previous home had been a very happy one with Mag and Con Power.
Before Bertram took up the reins, Magic was successful with Darragh Kenny (IRL) and Charli Evans( UK).
"Magic was very much part of our family and leaves a void no other animal will ever fill. He will be remembered not only for his success in the arena but his great character and friendship. Thank you, Magic you were our wonder pony. We will miss you," reads the statement on Allen's website.
