Bettinger and Bacardi win the Sires of the World Championship

German rider Marc Bettinger and the 11 year old stallion Bacardi (Balou du Rouet x Argentinus) took the competition by storm in the Sires of the World class at the Zangersheide Stud in Lanaken, Belgium today. The class is reserved for stallions only and 56 combinations took part, and the crowd were treated to some top quality jumping. In the jump off, Bettinger and Bacardi were almost 2 seconds faster than second placed rider Sam Polleunis (BEL) and the 9 year old Okidoki van't Gelutt Z (Omar x Lux Z). British rider James Billington took third place with VDL Cartello (Cartani x Lord). Swiss rider Clarissa Crotta and British rider Joe Clayton took fourth and fifth place respectively.
