High school senior and show jumper Katherine Bundy is dedicated to improving her skills as an equestrian. Her strong commitment paid off at the Winter Equestrian Festival, where she and her ride, Co Co Pop, won the Vita Flex Victory Pass Award for their win in the Washington International Horse Show (WHIS) Equitation Overall class. In the same week, Bundy also earned first prize in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search 3* and the ASPCA Maclay Section A class.
Vita Flex is a producer of top-of-the-line equine performance supplements. Through the Vita Flex Victory Pass Award, Vita Flex celebrates horse and rider combinations that mimic the company’s core values of crossing the fine line between good and great. Vita Flex awarded Bundy and Co Co Pop’s excellent winning rides with a bucket filled to the brim with popular Vita Flex® performance products and a beautiful Vita Flex Victory Pass Award horse neck ribbon.
Bundy was all smiles as she accepted the Vita Flex Victory Pass Award, and is happy to have the opportunity to try the array of products that she won, including the AccuLytesTMelectrolytes and Lactanase® performance packets. Her prize also featured some of Vita Flex’s most popular products like Accel® Lifetime Health and Wellness Formula and the Thermaflex® topical liniment for sore muscles.
Bundy has spent the winter competing at the Winter Equestrian Festival with Co Co Pop, a 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding owned by her trainer Missy Clark of North Run, a show jumping facility based in Warren, Vermont and Wellington, Florida. Bundy travels to the Winter Equestrian Festival on the weekends, while she continues her high school studies in Connecticut. On whether she will be able to continue pursuing her equestrian passion after high school, Bundy said, “I’d love to keep riding as an amateur. I’d love to keep that a part of my life.”
For now, Bundy is looking forward to get to know Co Co Pop better and will strive to stay atop the leader board. “I want to keep bettering myself. This is the time I can ride my best. The show is consistent every weekend and that consistency really helps,” explained Bundy.
