On the gras arena in Hardelot, France the CSI 3* competition took off with a victory for France. European Champion, Roger Yves Bost, won the 1.45m class aboard Sydney Une Prince. The pair was just a bit faster as British Guy Williams and Depardieu van 't Kiezelhof. America's Reed Kessler, not present in Las Vegas, scored a third spot with Soraya de L'Obstination. After being out for a while, William Funnell and Billy Congo, made an impressive comeback finishing fourth in the class.
