This Thursday, the German Andreas Brenner won the first prize in the 1.45 meters (CSI 2*) competition of the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour, counting towards the FEI Longines Ranking; however this competition was dominated by the French riders who followed in the next five positions.

In his first victory this year in Vilamoura, the German, riding Trebox Acorada, jumped the 15 obstacles of the course in 66.44 seconds.

He was followed by the Frenchs Romain Potin, riding Tzigano Massuère (66.68), Timothee Anciaume, riding Padock du Plessis *HN (68.42), Olivier Guillon, riding Raphale d'Hivernerie (68.77), again Timothee Anciaume, this time riding Kiamon (69.13), and Julien Gonin, with Gigolo V/D Molendreef (69.21), all with clear rounds.

Regarding the eight Portuguese participants -  from a total of 69 teams at the start - only Mario Wilson Fernandes, riding Zurito, managed to reach the top ten in the seventh position, with 70.29 seconds and a clear round.
