It was close, really close. Kent Farrington from the USA is the winner of the Rolex Grand Prix at the CHIO Aachen 2019. He rode to victory in an extremely exciting jump-off, ahead of Daniel Deußer from Germany and Ben Maher (GB).

Sold-out for weeks, 40,000 spectators and a fantastic setting: The Rolex Grand Prix at the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2019, came to a close amid a unique atmosphere. Seven riders went through to the jump-off. In addition to Daniel Deußer, Simone Blum from the German team had also succeeded in jumping two clear rounds. In the presence of the new EU President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who standing side-by-side next to the German national jumping coach, Otto Becker, cheered on the riders in the jump-off that proved to be both an entertaining and nail-biting affair – and which came to a happy end for Kent Farrington.
