Christen becomes Queen of Mechelen

In Mechelen, the last class of the day has just ended: the Queens Cup. This class in for lady riders of the CSI2* and CSI5* competition only. 36 combinations started in this class, but only ten of them could keep the zero on the score board in the first round. Meaning a jump-off with ten lady riders had to decide about today's winner. _________________________________________________________________________________________ QUICK RESULTS

  1. Aurore Christen - Uniflore Minotiere
2. Ann Carton-Grootjans - Kai Licha de Carmel 3. Stephanie Holmen - Kirlo van den Bosrand _________________________________________________________________________________________ The first lady rider to enter the show ring was the Swedish lady rider Stephanie Holmen. She rode Kirlo van den Bosrand (f. Cardento) to the finish line in 36,06 seconds, leaving the wood untouched. This would mean a third place for here. The Belgian rider Ann-Carton Grootjans ended on second place. She rode Kai Licha de Camel to the finish line in 35,34 seconds. The victory went to the French rider Aurore Christen. She and Uniflore Minotiere (f. Lucciano) cleared the course in 34,23 seconds. Juulia Jylas (Courage) and Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo (Cheppetta) completed the top five.
