Cian O'Connor jumps to victory in Valence

It was Ireland's Cian O'Connor who ruled the 1.50m Ranking Class in Valence. The five star riders are making the evening program in France. In the Longines Ranking class O'Connor speeded to victory aboard the 10-year-old Chacco-Blue son, Veneno. The Irish rider stopped the clock in 59.58 seconds. With almost three seconds difference Italy's Alberto Zorzi followed as runner-up in the saddle of Ulana de Coquerie (L'Arc de Triomphe). Zorzi and the 10-year-old mare crossed the finish in 62.55 seconds. At home soil, Kevin Staut completed the stage with Gravity of Greenhill (Nabab de Reve). Just outside the stage Julia Martinengo Marquet (Princy, f. Casall) and Jos Verlooy (Igor, f. Emerald) completed the top five in a fourth and fifth place. Click here for the results
