Colombian victory for Carlos Lopez in CSIO5* La Baule

A few moments ago, the exciting derby class over 1,45m-high fences ended in La Baule. Twenty combinations started in this long course with natural obstacles, that proved itself a true challenge. Four riders were disqualified, one retired. The only rider to finish the course without a single fault, was Colombia's Rene Lopez. He won in 139,48 seconds with his Dutch-bred Destiny's Child (Sandro Boy). Harold Boisset and Vakhenaton (Ogrion des Champs) took the second place for France in 137,63 seconds with four penalties, Steve Guerdat followed in third place with Venard de Cerisy (Open Up Semilly). The Dutch riders Kevin Jochems and Frank Schuttert took the fourth and fifth place. Jochems was a bit faster on his Evita (Canturano) than Schuttert and La Fille Rouge (Couleur Rubin).
