Consistent Maikel Van der Vleuten in the Prosegur Prize

Premiere for Holland on the podium of Casas Novas with the triumph of Maikel van der Vleuten, who lifted the  Prosegur Trophy within the 5* international jumping competition in A Coruña this morning. His performance aboard  Dana Blue in 25.24 seconds edged out  the Italian Emanuele Gaudiano from the first place (25.58 seconds on Quinn van de Heffinck) and became unbeatable for the rest of the competitors. It was tightly contested by brave canditates, among them the Spanish Eduardo Álvarez Aznar, who neverthless had to settle for a third place aboard Uqualin du Saulcy (25.66 seconds). The top five was below 26 seconds, with  Ludger Beerbaum and Chiara (25.81 seconds) in fourth place and Michael G. Duffy Irish and Ugo la Tour Vidal (25.98 seconds). Another two Spanish riders within the top ten, Gerardo Menéndez Mieres and Paola Amilibia. THE GRAND PRIX TYCO WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE AT THE CSI2 * A Coruña’s  equestrian centre is ready for the contest of the Grand Prize Tyco, which will put an end to the competition of category 2* that is being held in parallel with CSI 5*-W. There is a high participation of Spanish riders though there are competitors from countries such as Portugal, Greece, Great Britain, France, the United States, Canada and Italy. It will be the last test before the long-awaited GP Longines FEI World Cup – trophy CaixaBank, whose start time is at 17:00. The stands of Arteixo’s winter ring are expected to be absolutely packed, as the number of spectators has been up to such a great equestrian event since Friday.
