Constant van Paesschen claims another victory in the Prix Sapinda

The afternoon’s CSI 5* Prix Sapinda was won by Constant van Paesschen (BEL) and Citizenguard Rioso van de Kape, who rode an unbeatable round in the beautiful Monaco sunshine to win ahead of Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Little Lady Z in 2nd and Marc Houtzager (NED) with Sterrehof’s Uppity in 3rd. Constant van Paesschen rode like a man possessed to take the victory, another win to add to his ever-growing collection. The world’s best riders rode attacking rounds in front of the glamorous Monte-Carlo audience in the heart of the stunning Port Hercule, complete with a super-yacht-filled backdrop. Luc Musette’s course was an inviting one and saw 15 of the 34 starters jump clear. There were strong rounds from tonight’s Grand Prix favourites, including Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS), Pieter Devos (BEL), Daniel Deusser (GER) and Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (SWE).
