CSI Rabat: Gaudiano strikes again

The CSI3* competition of Rabat started its second day today. The first 3* competition that was scheduled for today was a 1,30m class against the clock. The victory in this class was for Santiago Diaz Ortega. He rode Tizmin LS (Dollar De La Pierra) in 54,77 seconds to the victory. This combination has had a very promising weekend so far. Yesterday the also managed to place themselves. Second place was for the French rider Philippe Rozier. With Quel Chanu under the saddle he finished in 57,29 seconds. Third place went to Ibrahim Hani Bisharat. Virus (Linton) jumped a clear round in 57,44 seconds. Yesterday this combination jumped very fast, clear rounds as well rewarding themselves with a placing. Fourth place was for Santiago Diaz Ortega once again. This time he took Carlson (Calido) out of his stable. With Carlson Diaz Ortega jumped a clear round in 58,97 seconds. Fifth place was for the fast Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano. With a clear round in 59,94 seconds he and Chalou (Chacco Blue) jumped to fifth place. The second 3-star class that was scheduled today was a 1,35 m class ridden in two fases. After his fifth place in the 1,30m class, Gaudiano clearly wanted revenge. With Carlotta 232 (Chaccomo) he speeded through the course finishing in 23,16 seconds. This was a very fast time no other combination could beat. Second place was for Marion Hughes. She saddled Heritage HHS Fortuna (Heritage Fortunus) and jumped in 23,71 seconds to the silver medal. Pius Schwizer completed the podium with Lester IX (Lord Pezi). They jumped a clear second phase as well in 23,91 seconds. Fourth place was for the Belgian rider Patrik Spits. He and Verdi vd Withoeve (Vigaro Z) left the wood untouched an finished in 23,95 seconds. The Irish rider Richard Howley (Calmond) and the Swiss rider Evelyne Bussmann (Tafila D'Urville) completed the top six. Click here for all results.
