In Paris, the first 5-star class of the day has just ended. This class did not count for the World Cup ranking but riders could collect precious points for the Longines ranking. 39 combinations entered the show ring for this class ridden again the clock. It seemed like the super fast Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano was going to take the win. Gaudiao, who made speeding one of his best features, jumped a clear round with Casper (f. Berlin) in 63,44 seconds. He stood on the lead for a very long time but then Julien Epaillard still had to ride... Epaillard did the impossible and rode even faster with the 14-year old Quick Star son Quatrin de la Roque LM. This combination jumped a clear round in 62,44 seconds and won the class. Felicie Bertrand and Sultan des Ibis (f. Quidam de Revel) ended on third place. They didn't touch the wood and finished in 64,23 seconds. Edward Levy (Rebeca LS) and Robert Whitaker (Cash Sent) ended respectively on fourth and fifth place. Click here for the results
