French riders have dominated the competition all weekend at the 5* show in Paris. Today was no exception as Simon Delestre won the prestigious Gucci Gold Cup with the 10 year gelding Chesall ( Casall x Concerto II). It was a hot class, with many riders going flat out in the jump-off. Ten riders made it through to the jump-off after navigating a difficult course in the first round. Delestre was the fastest of the three double clears, with his teammate Patrice Delaveau coming in second place with the eight year old mare Leontine Ledimar Z H D C (Lodefever II x Grosso Z). Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten finished in third place with the 9 year old gelding VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Caletto I).
