Daniel Bluman on top in Chantilly's CSI5* opening class

It was a little bit cloudy today in Chantilly as the first CSI5* show jumping riders took the start in the opening 1.45m class.  A total of 53 combinations took a chance at winning the 6,250 Euro first prize. Against the clock it was South-America's speed devil, Daniel Bluman who took the win, finishing clear in 67.76 seconds. Aboard the 10-year-old Belive (by Ukato)Bluman stopped the clock almost 2 seconds faster as Ireland's Bertram Allen aboard Quiet Easy 4 (by Quidam's Rubin). The home colours shined on the third place, Jérôme Hurel and the 12-year-old  Urano (by Baloubet du Rouet) secured the third spot after a finish in 69.43 seconds. Turkish Ömer Karaevli and Roso au Crosnier followed in a fourth place while Hurel's compatriot, Julien Epaillard completed the top five aboard Quatrin de la Roque Lm (by Quick Star).  A total of 11 riders managed to finish clear.
