The pair stayed ahead of Kevin Staut with For Joy van 't Zorgvliet HDC (by For Pleasure). The French show jumping rider completed the jump-off track in 36.96 seconds. Edwina Tops Alexander followed in a third place with the 10-year-old KWPN-mare, California (by L'Esprit). Sweden's Peder Fredricsson (H&M Christian K, by Namelus R) and Douglas Lindelöw (Zacramento, by Cardento) followed in a fourth and fifth place. Best horses of the world forfait. Both Halifax van het Kluizebos (by Heartbreaker) with Lorenzo de Luca and Eldorado van het Vijverhof (by Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) with Gregory Wathelet decided to quit the course before finishing.
