It was Daniel Deusser who won th Olympia Grand Prix in London tonight during a star studded field that entered into a jump-off with including British favorite Scott Brash, who went on to be third. Second price was for Edwina Alexander-Tops. Tonights course was not a give away in London. As only six riders managed to get a clear and advance to the jump-off. Laura Kraut from the USA was the first to produce a clear with Cavalia (by Vingino) and was later joined by Steve Guerdat, Marcus Ehning, Scott Brash, Daniel Deusser and Edwina Tops-Alexander to finish up a spectaculair week of showjumping in Britains capitol. But it came down to the last two riders to devide the prices. As all others had seen one ore more poles come down in a attempt to set the time to beat. Edwina Tops Alexander and California (by L’Esprit) took no risk and crossed the finish without any penalties after 48,42 seconden. But not later it was Daniel Deusser and his Equite van T Zorgvlief (by Cassini I) who claimed the win. As last rider on course the German rider had a smooth round with the 12 year old Cassini bay and finished in 45.67 seconds. Brash and Helo Gov'nor (by Diamant de Semilly) produced a super fast round in 40.83 seconds. But the pair had a pole come down to finish up as third.
