In Hong Kong the second day of the Longines Masters started with the 'Asiaworld-Expo Trophy'. It was a 1.45m class with winning round. The twelve best combinations came back to the winning round. The whole podium went to Germany. It was Daniel Deusser who showed the Chinese public and the other riders why he is the number one of the world. With the ten year old mare Happiness van T Paradijs (s. Obourg) he rode two clear rounds and in the second round he had a time of 37.22 seconds. Christian Ahlmann ended in second place with the chestnut gelding Reavnir (s. Ricardos). This duo stayed clear in 37.78 seconds. Third place also went to Germany, as Philipp Weishaupt and Call me Eva (s. Chacco-Blue) finished in 38.24 seconds without making any faults. The top five was completed by Henrik von Eckermann with Ugaulin du Bosquetiau (s. Kashmir van Schuttershof) and Piergiorgio Bucci with Heartbreaker vd Achterhoek (s. Bentley van de Heffinck).
