Last rider at the start, Belgium's Pieter Devos almost beat Deusser's time, but eventually settled as runner-up with Bart Vandecasteele's 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood-gelding, Espoir (Surcouf de Revel). France's Simon Delestre completed the stage with Hermes Ryan (Hugo Gesmeray). Delestre stopped the timer at 38.29 seconds staying ahead of Henrik von Eckermann aboard Toveks Mary Lou (Montendro).
