In New York, the first CSI5* class of the day has just been ridden. In the prize 'Prestige Italia' 27 riders entered the show ground for a 1m55 class with jump-off. Riders entering this class could collect valuable points for the Longines Ranking. The course was quite difficult and the time allowed caused some problems for a lot of riders. In the end, seven riders could keep the zero on the score board and came back for the jump-off. Yesterday, Adrienne Sternlicht was the winner of yesterday and right now she was in pool position as well because she was the last rider to start in the jump-off. When she entered the show ground, Beezie Madden was in the lead with her biggest champion Breitling LS (f. Quintero). This former World Cup winners crossed the finish line in 34,17 seconds. But it immediately became very clear that Sternlicht wasn't going to let her win. With Toulago (f. Toulon) under the saddle, she went fast as lightening and finished in 33,96 seconds, taking the first place. Beezie Madden ended on second place. The third place went to Belgiums Olivier Philippaerts. He rode H&M Cue Channa 42 (f. Cardento 933) to the finish line in 34,30 seconds, leaving the wood untouched. The fourth place went to Belgium as well. Oliviers nephew, Pieter Clemens, cleared the course in 35,41 seconds with Icarus (f. Querlybet Hero).
