Just before the clock stroke midnight it was Dutch rider Tom Martens that claimedthe DCM price at the Azelhof in Lier with a fantastic winning round. Narrowly beating the competition from Ireland and Japan, while the Belgian combinations watched from position four and five. It was very close tonight in the 1.45m FEI ranking test with the top four only finishing a few tenths of seconds behind each other. Martens, however, won this clash with his fast Casall mare Callas. The duo raced to victory in 36.34 seconds, but was quite closely followed by the Irishman Jack Dodd and his colts Quato Mail. Dodd who was no tenths of a second slower with his time of 36.43 seconds also noticed the competition close in when Japanese Hikari Yoschizawa and Conrato (v. Caretino) put the third fastest ride of the night on the clock, finishing in third with a clear round in 36.51 seconds. For Belgium, Constant Paesschen was close to a top three rank. He put in a very good effort with his Canturo stallion Helle Isidoor Isidoor. But just miste the podium after a clear round in 36.71. Colleague Thomas Gilles and Cantario followed to complete the top five. See the full results here.
