Eduardo Menezes takes a winning start in Aachen

The show jumping Action in Aachen has kicked-off with the STAWAG opening Jumping competition in which Brasil's Eduardo Menezes speeded to victory. Until the last rider it was an exciting unpredictable competition with in the end 18 clear combinations. Menezes and the 13-year-old Caspar-mare, Caruschka 2 stopped the clock in 59.36 seconds, speeding to victory. The combination was just no two seconds faster as Dutch Aniek Poels with the Cornet Obolensky-daughter, Cosma Go R. Poels and the 11-year-old gray mare crossed the finish clear in 61.01 seconds and was followed by Germany's Marcus Ehning with the Hannover-mare Calanda 42 (by Calido I). Henrik von Eckermann (Cortina 212, by Contendro I) and Christian Kukuk (Colestus, by Cornet Obolensky) completed the top five n a fourth and fifth place.     Click here for the results
