It was a close call for Edwina Tops-Alexander tonight in the jump-off of the CSI5* Grand Prix 1,60m of Paris. In 44,43 seconds, she rode eleven-year old California (l'Esprit) to the first place, Italy's Alberto Zorzi followed exactly 0,36 second later with Contanga (Catoki). Denis Lynch sent The Sinner (Sanvaro) to the third position for Ireland in 47,03 seconds. French rider Thierry Rozier and his mare Venezia d'Ecaussines (Kashmir van 't Schuttershof) were fast enough for the third place with their 45,81 seconds, but four penalties made them end up in the fourth spot. Spencer Smith and Theodore Manciais, also a son of Kashmir, finished fifth for the States. Click here for the complete result.
