Elisa Strubbe is the new Queen of Mechelen

The female court at Jumping Mechelen consisted of 32 ladies today. But only one could claim the tittle as the new Queen of Mechelen in an exciting jump-off . And her name is Elisa Strubbe! Queen Elisa jumped herself to greatness in the Stephex Stables Queens Cup at the beginning of the evenin with the fantastic Gladiator 'T Paradise (v. Schindler de Muze). And will now follow up Dutch Caroline Poels giving Mechelen back to a Belgian Queen. During a jump-off consisting of five ride only three ladies kept away from the wood. The fastest of these was Strubbe and her 10-year old BWP gelding Shindlerslist de Muse. The duo was too strong for Leonie Peeters who completed the course in 34.33 seconds aboard her mare Catho (v. Millar). The mare had to take a short toilet break ahead of the first round, but this releave did not help her to claim the crown in the final round. The pair finished their jump-off in 35.60 seconds and finished as seconds. The third lady to not have any penalties in the jump-off was Swedish Charlotte Mordasini. She rode a clear round in 35.85 seconde with her gray gelding Miebello (v. Flying Quite Easy 958) and took the bronze position. Her compatriot Jonna Ekberg was actually a lot faster with a ride in 34.72 seconds. But her 11-year old BWP gelding Freestyler (v. Lord Z) knocked a pole down and finished in fourth Belgian Karline De Brabander finished up the top five ranking after a ride with four penalties in 36.51 seconen.
