Emanuel Andrade jumps to the win in Wellington

The national New Years show at the equestrian center Palm Beach in Florida concluded with an exciting 30,000 USD Uhealth Grand Prix. After a jump-off with six, only three combinations produced a double clear round. Emanuel Andrade and the 15-year-old Quick Star-son, Nokia de Brekka set the fastest time. The pair crossed the finish in 42,673 seconds. Nokia is Pénélope Leprévost's Ratina d'la Rousserie halfbrother. Jackson Brittan followed as runner-up. Aboard the 13-year-old Easy Contact Humlan (by Quit Easy I) Brittan stopped the clock in 45,562 seconds. Leslie Howard and Up and Blue Chapelle (by Chacco Blue) placed third after a clear finish in 45,816 seconds. The top five was completed by Shane Sweetnam (Cobolt) and Mattias Tromp (Apart) in a fourth and fifth place. Next week the Winter Equestrian Festival kicks-off for its 2017 edition at Palm Beach.
