Emanuele Gaudiano takes winning start in Lausanne

In Lausanne Emanuele Gaudiano took a splendid start of the fivestar competition. The 1.40m welcome class was build heavy and heigh, but that didn't bother the Italian show jumping rider. Gaudiano speeded to victory aboard his 8-year-old Chaccomo-mare, Carlotta. The pair crossed the finish in 66.29 seconds and stayed ahead over one second on Great-Britain's Robert Whitaker with the Verdi-son, Cash Sent. Whitaker stopped the clock faultless in 67.57 seconds. For own crowd Daniel Etter followed as third. In the saddle of his 12-year-old Kheops du Roset CH (by Kannan) he stayed ahead of compatriot Edwin Smits with Barcelona von Aarhof CH (by Berlin). Ben Maher completed the top five with his 9-year-old KWPN-gelding, Don Vito (by Quaprice Z).     Click here for the results
