Halfway the 2016 Rio Olympic Show Jumping Individual finals, round 1 only five combinations managed to produce a clear round in this difficult track. Although the reigning European and World Champion didn't manage to shine like they usually do, today they showed their worth. Jeroen Dubbeldam and his Champions Hors S.F.N. Zenith produced a clear round, on their way for the Gold Medal. Great-Britain's Nick Skelton and Big Star finished as first clear combination. Australia's Edwina Tops-Alexander followed as second clear round with Lintea Tequila. The current Olympic Champion, Steve Guerdat is on his way for a hattrick with Nino des Buissonnets.
