French pair on top in Vilamoura's Grand Prix

The threestar Grand Prix in Vilamoura counted as a qualifier for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon as well as the European Championships in 2019. A total of nine combinations qualified for the jump-off. The French show jumping rider, Titouan Schumacher eventually set the record time with the Zangersheide-gelding, Atome Z (f. Amadeus Z*Brimbelles). The pair made a clear finish in 36.27 seconds finishing over one second faster as compatriot Julien Gonin with the SF-mare, Une Etoile Landaise (f. Balougran). Bronislav Chudyba placed third with Zapria (f. Colman). The pair was followed by Marco Valente Oliveira aboard Upercut Kervec (f. Diamant de Semilly) and Andreas Knippling with Tannenhof's Chacco Chacco. Click here for the results
