French riders dominate Grand Prix of Deauville

In the French Deauville, the Grand Prix of the 3* competition has just been ridden. It was a 1m50 class ridden in two rounds and the French riders did what they have been doing all weekend: dominate the class. The victory went to the young French lady rider Alexandra Paillot. She and her 14-year old gelding Polias de Blondel (f. Desir du Chateau) cleared the second round in 50,41 seconds. The second place was for Alexis Gautier and Siroco de Coquerie (f. Querlybet Hero). This combination didn't touch any fence and finished in 51,70 seconds. The French rider Edward Levy completed the top three with Sirius Black. This 11-year old stallion jumped a clear round in 51,74 seconds. Thierry Rozier and Venezia d'Ecaussinnes (f. Kashmir van Schuttershof) rode a very fast second round, but got one penalty for jumping, resulting in the fourth place. The same thing happened to Duarte Romao. He and Utopie d'Bonneville (f.  Landor S) completed the top five. Click here for the results
