The French and Swiss riders dominated the highest class in Lyon today. It was Laurent Guillet who won the first place with Sultan du Chateau (Kannan x Galoubet A). They were half a second faster than the competition in 58,15 seconds. Swiss rider Marie Etter-Pellegrin came in second with Une de l'Othain (Conterno Grande). They finished in 58,51 seconds. With that time, Etter-Pellegrin was also half a second faster than Damien de Chambord and Viti de Longa (Contendro I). Paul Deforge finished fourth, Pierre Kolly came in fifth.
