Today it was the 19-year-old Hello Max (Hallo x I'm A Star) who led the German rider Gilbert Tillmann to victory during the prestigious Hamburg Derby. The pair fought their way through the difficult cours which You can see here. The complete stage colored German with Gilbert Tillmann in the lead. Carsten-Otto Nagel and the 13-year-old Lex Lugar (s. Lordanos) followed in a second place after a finish with one jumping fault in 53:64 seconds. The third place was for Hilmar Meyer and CoverLady (s.Convoi). The pair had two jumping faults.
The Derby proved to be traditional as it is a class full of surprises - the riders that were the best in the two qualifications got problems today; neither Emanuele Gaudiano on Chicago (Chambertin x Quinar), Marcus Ehning with Campel (Contendro x Argentan) got down the derby bank today. It kind of says it all when Pius Schwizer and Ulysse ending with 12 faults to still finish in a 7th position.
