Grand Prix Gelderland postponed... with only 8 horses to go

At the Outdoor competition in Gelderland, the Netherlands, the 1.55m Grand Prix was almost to finish with only eight horse-rider combinations to go. Unfortunately the weather Gods, decided differently. In Arnhem a storm came up and blew away all the fences, speakers and other technical installions. At the moment Henk Van de Pol was already passed his third fence. When all fences started to fall down, the officials decided to pause the competition. So far 41 of the 45 horse-rider combinations took the start. Already 3 combinations secured the Jump-Off. Those are Johnny Pals, Albert Zoer and Alonso Valdez Prado from Peru. It is expected the storm will pass away in about 25 minutes.
