In Doha the 1.45 - 1.60m CSI2* World Cup class saw only three combinations advancing to the jump-off. Aboard the eleven-year-old Cantos-gelding, Clinton, only Hamad Ali Mohammed A Al Attiyah produced a clear round jumping to victory. Clinton was bred by B. van Spijkeren and competed until 2016 under the saddle of Australia's Edwina Tops Alexander. The fastest time was set by Mubarak Yousuf Al Rumaihi and the 16-year-old Vivaldi K (Indoctro). Aboard P.G. Kruizenga's breeding product, Al Rumaihi however jumped one rail down, placing second. Also with one jumping fault, Hamad Nasser Al Qadi followed in third with the Hannover gelding, S.I.E.C. Lonnie (Le Primeur). The top five was completed by Rashid Towaim Ali Al Marrie (Anyway II, f. VDL Groep No Limit) and Faleh Suwaed Al Ajami (Carport, f. Cartani).
