Hanley replaces Broderick for Lummen Nations Cup

PRESS RELEASE : Horse Sport Ireland Mayo’s Cameron Hanley and Cas  2 have been called into the Irish Nations Cup squad for the Nations Cup of Belgium which takes place this Friday April 29th. Hanley replaces Tipperary’s Greg Broderick and MHS Going Global (ISH).   HSI’s Show Jumping Team Manager Robert Splaine said: “I spoke to both Greg and team vet Pat Meagher about the matter. Pat explained to me that MHS Going Global has met with a minor setback and as a result should not line out at Lummen”   “Cameron and Cas 2 had a good result last weekend in the 1m 60 Grand Prix in Hagan and we are fortunate to be able to call on such a combination” he said. The Nations Cup of Belgium will see the first point scoring Nations Cup for Ireland. Each country in the top division is allocated 4 point scoring Nations Cups out of the 8 Nations Cup shows in the series. Countries can compete in other Nations Cups in the series but their results at these shows will not contribute to their league points.   The squad of 5 from which 4 riders will be selected to jump now is, in alphabetical order: Wexford’s Bertram Allen riding Molly Malone V Waterford’s Anthony Condon riding Aristio Mayo’s Cameron Hanley riding Cas 2 Tipperary’s Denis Lynch riding All Star 5 Meath’s Cian O’Connor riding Good Luck Photo : Equnews.com - Lorinda Crowley
