Today it was the Dutch rider Harrie Smolders and Axel Verlooy's stallion, Emerald (Diamant De Semilly x Carthago ), who won the 1m50 Grand Prix of the Z-Tour. After a clear jump off in 40:92 seconds Emerald took a lead of almost one second on the Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat and Sidney 142 (s. Carry) who took the runner-up position. Belgium's number one, Gregory Wathelet, completed the stage on the back of Desteny vh Dennehof. From the 12 starters in the Jump off only 6 completed the course without making any faults.
Also Jos Verlooy and his Belgian Warm bred Domino kept the wood untouched. Finishing in a time of 42:96 seconds the pair was happy with a fourth place; Columbian Dayro Arroyave (Eldorado vh Vijverhof) ended in the fifth position, followed by Fernandes Mario Wilson and Wintu. Zangersheide's own, Judy-Ann Melchior, placed herself for the jump off with Aragon Z, ending in a 12th place.
