Over the last few weeks Dutch rider Harrie Smolders has had some tremendous results whilst competing at WEF in Wellington for the Winter circuit, after only returning to Europe a short while ago Smolders has already returned to winning form. With the 11 year old gelding Enjoy Louis (Coriano x Kannan), Smolders won the 1.45m speed class at CSI5* Gothenburg after shaving over a second off of Marlon Modolo Zanotelli's time. Zanotelli finished second with the 11 year old stallion Zerlin M (Berlin x Concorde) and World no.1 Scott Brash took third place with the 9 year old gelding Hello Forever (For Pleasure x Nimmerdor). The home favourite Rolf Goran Bengtsson finished in fourth place with the 12 year old stallion Clarimo ASK (Clearway x Caletto II), which delighted the enthusiastic Swedish crowd.
