Harrie Smolders takes a win in Doha

IMG_7074-830x1024Harrie Smolders and Exquis Powerfee (Fedor x Erdball xx) have won yesterday's Big Tour at Al Shaqab in Doha, proving, yet again, to be very much on form. In the first round the riders got to jump twelve fences in the huge arena in Doha, including three combinations. One at 4a and b, 7a and b and last one 11a and b. The first clear round in this course was for Ludger Beerbaum and Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You). After the Jump-Off the German rider finally ended in the fifth place. 13 more pairs managed to qualify for the Jump-Off where only three combinations were able to finish on zero faults. First and fastest clear round was for Harrie Smolders. Also Scott Brash and Hello Sanctos (s. Quasimodo vd Molendreef) produced a clear round ending in second place. Yesterday's Medium Tour winner, Pius Schwizer, now riding Verdi III (s. Hors La Loi) was the third clear round, ending on the third place in this class.
