No less than six Dutch riders finished in the top ten of the opening class, the Brabants Dagblad Prize, on Friday afternoon. The winner had the Dutch nationality too: Harrie Smolders who passed the finish line in 55.95 seconds with the 10-year-old French mare Tendresse du Fort (by Calvaro) in this competition against the clock. Second place went to Ireland’s Bertram Allen with EH Quick Nina (Holst by Quidam’s Rubin). Both horses are owned by Eurohorse in Belgium, the stable were Harrie Smolders rides. The Swedish rider Malin Baryard-Johnsson finished in third place with H&M Second Chance, a SWB mare by Carland. Dutch talented Lisa Nooren finished in fourth place with Bardesther (KWPN, Cardento x Guidam). While Jur Vrieling complemented the top 5 aboard the mighty gray stallion Dallas VDL (v. Douglas).
