Today the CSIO5* competition in La Baule kicked -off with a CSI 1* 1m15 competition won by Abdelkader Maamar and his 10-year-old mare Miss Maroc Telecom (s. Rash R). The pair finished clear in 55:62 seconds, taking a lead of 1 second on Abdulla Mohd aboard Alanis W (s. Berlin). France completed the stage thanks to Gaëtan Gaullier and Qualine du Château (s. Allegreto) finishing in a third place. After lunch it was time for the CSIO 5* to kick-off with a 1m40 competiton. Starting in the 26th place Roger-Yves Bost and his 12-year-old Richebourg-mare Nikyta D'Elle took the lead for a long time. In the end 'Bosty' had to be satisfied with a second place. The pair finished clear in a time of 62:66 seconds, referring Igor Kawiak (Noah de Bacon) to a third place. The Columbian rider Daniel Bluman ended in the fourth place with Cantando Lyngriis, a 12-year-old Holsteiner out of Cassini I x Gudini, in ownership of Ilan Derder and Kirsten Coe.
In the end it was Michel Hecart who took victory after a clear round in 62:33 seconds. Aboard the 12-year-old Selle Français-gelding Nokia de Bekka (Quick Star x Hermine de Brekka) Hecart took the cheque of 1250 Euros. Edouard Couperie and Quality II (s. Quidam de Revel) ensured a third combination in the top five after a clear round in 66:98 seconds.
