Robert Whitaker and the 14-year-old Usa Today (by Heartbreaker) set the time in 50.25 seconds. Only 0.15 seconds faster as runner-up William Funnell and Billy Angelo (by Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve). The two first were followed by their compatriots Laura Renwick (Heliodor Hybris) and John Whitaker (Lord Of Arabia) in third in fourth place. Ensuring a British domination on home soil. Belgium's young rider, Jos Verlooy, ensured an full international top five. Aboard the 10-year-old Mare Farfelu de la Pomme (by Vigo d'Arsouilles) Verlooy finished in 52.00 seconds, taking home the fifth place.
