Impressive Wathelet on first and third place

The first CSI5* competition of the day has just been ridden in Waregem and it was the Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet who made the Belgian crowd go wild. He didn't only win the class, he ended on third place in this 1m45 against the clock. He counted on Eldorado van het Vijverhof (f. Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) to win the class. He and Eldorado were the last combination to enter the arena. Wathelet finished in 65,06 seconds, beating Luca Maria Moneta in the end. Moneta ended on second place with Neptune Brecourt (f. Cavalor Cumano). He kept the zero on the score board and finished in 68,12 seconds. The third place went to Wathelet as well. This time he saddled Spike vd Withoeve (f. Sting vd Withoeve). He and Spike crossed the finish line after 69,75 seconds. Christophe Vanderhasselt (Caroline T.Z) and Wilm Vermeir (Dm Jacqmotte) completed the top five. They ended respectively on 69,90 and 70,10 seconds. Click here for the results
