sunshine_tourAnother week has began in the Spanish Vejer de la Frontera. The yearly organized Sunshine Tour started yesterday with a class for 5-year-old horses. Argentinian rider Fidel Segovia triumphed on the back of Antequera after a clear Jump-off in 25:51 seconds. The Italian rider Equgenio Edoardo Scotti and his horse Dressel ended second, followed by Alejandro Fernandez Sanchez and Nippon. The complete top ten finished without touching the wood and in time. Just outside the stage Norwegian Victoria Gulliksen and Junior finished on a fourth place while Belgian rider Gilles Botton and Ugobak des Laleines had to be satisfied with a fifth place. As well the six-year-olds as the seven-year-olds were split into two competitions. With the six-year-old horses it was Rutheford Latham Morehead and Tahiti da Uge who rode towards victory together with Iselin Gjendemsjo and Billy Jazz. Victoria Gulliksen (Stand by Me) and Lucia Maria Moneta (Tadi) obtained a second place after a clear Jump-Off in a time of 29:94 and 28:85 seconds. With the seven-year-old horses it were the Swiss rider Simon Burki (Claudia) and Norwegian Cecilie Hatteland (Gulio van de Koelaar) who triumphed with the fastest clear round. In the first competition Mexican rider Alberto Michan Halbinger and Rebeca La Silla ended seconds. Knowing that in the future most of the La Silla horses will be ridden by Mexicans we are looking for a promising story for this Latin-American country. Belgian rider Gilles Botton and Coree de Hus ended third. Only four riders finished without making a fault. Slowest among them was Piergiorgio and Cuarta finishing in a time of 31:23 seconds, over 4 seconds slower as Gilles Botton. In the second competition for seven-year-old horses The British Emily Mason (Shoven Flute) and Abbe Burchmore Eames (Baziel II) completed the stage. © equnews.com
