Ireland does it again at Ocala's Nations Cup

For the third time in three years, the Irish team has succeeded in claiming the win at the CSIO4* Nations Cup in Ocala (Thermal), USA. Also this week the Irish squad confirmed its dominace. Shane Sweetnam, Kevin Babington, Richie Moloney and Cian O'Connor collected a total of 12 points, enough for the win. After the first round Ireland took the lead and confirmed it in the end. Both Shane Sweetnam with the 11-years-old Chaqui Z (Chacco-Blue) and olympic rider, Cian O'Connor with Seringat (Chef Rouge) completed a clear track in the first round. Kevin Babington jumped twice one rail down aboard the 12-years-old Shorpaur (Stakkato Gold).   Eventually the Irish squad claimed the win with 12 points. The home-team, the USA, settled for a silver medal. Ward Mclain (Rotchild, Artos), Lillie Keenan (Super Sox, Salito), Lauren Hough (Cornet, Cornet Obolensky) and Elizabeth Madden (Breitlin Ls, Quintero) seemed to have collected a total of eight points. Team USA eventually became the runner-up with 16 points. Canada's show jumping team placed third.
