Irish riders dominate first FEI Pony Jumping Trophy

The third finale of the FEI Pony Jumping Trophy has just been ridden in the A-arena of Jumping Mechelen. The Belgian rider Thibeau Spits stood in the lead after his victory earlier this week. Unfortunately for the Belgian crowd, he didn't manage to keep the leadersposition. With Cleostrade (f. Ginus) under the saddle he got three penalties for jumping in the first round, resulting in the seventh place in the overall ranking. The first place went to Seamus Hughes-Kennedy. With Cuffesgrange Cavalidam (f. Luidam) under the saddle, he kept the zero on the scoreboard, winning himself the gold medal. Abbie Sweetnam and Dynamite Spartacus (f. Not Recorded) took account of the second place. They got an overall score of five penalties. Aaron Tijskens and Superbre de Laloena was the best Belgian rider with a third place. He rode two beautiful rounds and got an overall total of seven penalties.
