Italian victory in Rome's small GP

In Rome the crowd went crazy when the Italian Hymn was played after the CSIO Small Grand Prix. Juan Carlos Garcia and the 15-year-old Moka de Mescam (by Melkior du Montois) rode to victory. The pair left compatriot Emanuele Gaudiano in a second place. Gaudiano and Admara 2 were followed by USA's Laura Kraut and Deauville. The top five was completed by John Whitaker with Ornellaia and Dutch Gerco Schröder with Casello. New horse-rider combination, Pius Schwizer and Living the Dream, placed eleventh. The new 'combo' jumped one rail down in the jump-off.
