In the two star competition on a 1m40 course it was Italian rider Piergiorgio and his Belgian Warmblood Heartbreaker van Achterhoe (by Bentley van de Heffinck) who won under the sun of Valkenswaard. The pair stopped the chromo with a time of 59.87 seconds. It was then Belgian rider Jos Verlooy who came in second place with his Japatero Vdm, an eight year old Dutch Warmblood gelding by Eldorado van de Zeshoek with whom he crossed the finishline in 61.02 seconds. It was then Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten and his Cuarta (by Canto 16) who placed third in 62.38 seconds. Earlier winner of today Harrie Smolders came in fourth place with his Monaco (by Cassini II) in 64.67 seconds.
